ATLANTA – April 19, 2016 – MemberClicks, the leading provider of membership management software for small-staff associations, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of The Marfan Foundation’s 2016 Atlanta Walk for Victory.
The Marfan Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to create a brighter future for everyone living with Marfan syndrome and related disorders. Marfan syndrome is a potentially life-threatening genetic disorder that affects the body’s connective tissue. People can live with the condition, but only if they are diagnosed and treated. Otherwise, they are at risk of an early death from a tear in their aorta, the large artery that takes blood away from the heart. Approximately 200,000 people in the U.S. have these conditions, but experts say that half of those affected are not diagnosed.
The Marfan Foundation’s Walk for Victory helps raise awareness for Marfan syndrome and fund life-saving programs and services. The 2016 Atlanta Walk for Victory will be held on Saturday, April 23, at noon. Participants will enjoy a mile-long leisurely walk, snacks, games, and prizes, in addition to the satisfaction of giving back.
