- The Hours are Long
You probably get in early and stay late. I’ll bet you take calls after hours and on weekends. Meetings run overtime and if you’re checking out venues you might have to go before places open or after they close. Your family is probably tired of seeing you go over grants at the dinner table or taking calls while out with family. You have long days because you care!
- Your successes often go unnoticed
Not everyone is a gold star-seeker, but still. Sometimes you want a little attention for working out that tough predicament like boosting engagement or planning a knock-out event. You don’t want to ask for it, though, and chances are nobody notices because you all agree that it’s “your job.”
- Your setbacks feel more prominent
Ever feel like the world is coming down on you when you make a mistake? Because Small Staff association leaders often tackle tasks by themselves, you probably feel that way too. Everyone makes mistakes… yours are just a bit more apparent.
- You’re challenged to perform in areas which you have no experience
